Houston Pi Beta Phi Foundation

On March 23, 1994, the Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club voted unanimously to create the Houston Pi Beta Phi Foundation. The Houston Foundation was incorporated in the State of Texas on March 29, 1994. and was approved as a charitable organization with a 501(c)(3) status effective March 23, 1994. The Foundation receives and maintains funds for charitable, literacy, scientific, or educational purposes. It operates to support various institutions and/or programs promoting literacy. The Houston Pi Beta Phi Foundation receives and disburses funds to:

  • Pi Beta Phi Patient Family Library at Texas Children’s Hospital Medical Center and West Campus
  • Pi Beta Phi Literacy Enrichment Program at The Children’s Cancer Hospital at MD Anderson Cancer Center
  • Champions are Readers® Elementary School Program
  • Bo’s Place Pi Beta Phi Library
  • Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital’s Pi Beta Phi Library
  • Children’s Museum of Houston
  • Nehemiah Center Pi Beta Phi Library
  • Neuhaus Education Center
  • Pi Beta Phi Lending Library at DePelchin Children’s Center
  • Yellowstone Academy Pi Beta Phi Library
  • The Houston Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club & Houston Pi Beta Phi Foundation Scholarship for the Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Association
  • Small Steps Nurturing Center
  • Making It Better – Transforming Lives Through Literacy

**In addition to funding literacy endeavors, the Houston Pi Beta Phi Foundation also considers contributions that support Pi Beta Phi Foundation International Philanthropies. Gifts are tax deductible.
