Pay Member Dues

While it will be a challenging year, we are excited to put together a year of fun and engaging events that will give you the opportunity to make new acquaintances or renew old friendships. Pi Phi is the tie that binds us, and it is the Houston Alumnae Club that keeps us together.

Sisterhood and sincere friendships are the foundation of our Pi Phi experiences. We will continue to promote and foster this with a programming calendar that includes three types of events:

  • Sisterhood events are open to all members and will include both daytime coffee or luncheons with featured speakers and evening social events (Pink Party and Fratty Friends).
  • Signature events include our annual Holiday Party, Monmouth Duo, and Founders’ Day. 
  • Small group events include all of our interest groups and age-specific gatherings from Junior Group to Golden Arrows, Bible Study, and Book Club. 

We will continue to encourage club growth with the new dues structure by being able to select one of two options:

  • “A la Carte” dues include annual dues of $75 to cover basic costs of national fraternity and Houston Club dues. Members will then pay by Venmo or check at the door for any club events attended throughout the year.
  • “Sisterhood” dues, a more price-inclusive option, includes annual dues of $150, plus attendance at all events, with the exception of Founders’ Day and fundraising occasions.

Special pricing is available to our junior members (under age 30) and our senior members (80 years and older). Some signature events (e.g. Founders’ Day) and small group events are an additional cost for all members and will be paid for on an individual basis.

Monies paid to the alumnae club are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. “A LA CARTE” DUES: Covers the basic costs of membership, including $35 in Pi Phi International dues. These dues do not include the cost to attend most of our local club events; rather, you will pay “a la carte” to attend individual events throughout the year. Event pricing is based on the type of event and the menu served. SISTERHOOD DUES: Includes the basic costs of membership plus attendance at most of our local club events (general meetings and evening sisterhood events). Please note: this option does not include signature events (e.g., Founders’ Day) or small group events. All Senior Members (age 80+) are included in the Sisterhood Dues category.

Your generous contribution of Angel Dues provides direct financial support for the following: reduced dues for young alumnae, special events for Golden Arrows, and the annual Holiday Tea. You may provide direct support to the chapter of your choice during recruitment, in partnership with our club’s Recruitment Committee. Chapter support donations help to offset the cost of meals and snacks provided to chapters during their primary recruitment.
